The F to V/mA Converter (Model No. XF101) is a Microcontroller based unit, designed to accurately measure the Speed of an object such a Turbine rotor, Motor shaft, Flywheel, etc. The converter interfaces with Magnetic Pick-up (MPU) sensors used widely in such applications and has full scale frequency measurement range of 20 KHz, which allows usage even in very high speed rotary measurement applications. The unit can also be interfaced with Proximity Switch sensors.
Typical analog type Frequency – mA converters suffer the drawback of slow response time and excessive ripple in the output analog value in the lower 10% of the measurement range. This limitation is overcome in XF101 converters, which operate on the principle of time interval measurement of frequency input waveforms. Frequency measurement result is available within two complete cycles of the input waveform. This results in extremely fast response to any variation in measured frequency value.
Measurement accuracy better than +/- 0.1% is achieved due to high frequency timing clock used internally for time interval measurement. The measurement accuracy is maintained over the entire frequency input range of 0-20KHz.
Analog Output 0-10V/4-20mADC is available, proportional to input frequency range of 0 to 20 KHz.
